Marinated Beef Kabobs

easy fruit salad recipe

This is fantastic, easy and extremely cheap recipe of beef kabobs. It takes few minutes of preparation time, 12 hours to 6 days of “lonely marinating time” without any demands from you, and then just few minutes of BBQing or grilling, and you on the way to food heaven.

Take any kind of marinating steak like top sirloin or round beef. Cut the meat to relatively uniformed cubes. If the meat is not so uniformed, the width is what important.

From my experience, I always aim for 7-8 oz (200g) meat per persona. This amount will satisfy very meat greedy person like myself and my guests.

Just keep in mind that marinade and cocktail recipes are in ratios and not in exact quantities. You have to have enough marinade to cover the meat.

2lb(1kg) marinating steak, cubed

Marinade

1 part red wine (I love Merlot but you can use any wine you like)

1 part of your beloved vinegar

1 part vegetable oil

1 part soy sauce

1 part water

I usually use plastic bags for marinating the meat, but you can always use plastic container with good lid.

1. Put the meat in plastic bag or container.

2. Pour the marinade ingredients straight over the meat, close the bag and shake it well.

3. Leave it marinated for at least 12 hours and up to 6 days in the fridge.

4. Then put meat on the skewers and start BBQing. The meat should be tender and well marinated so BBQ it for 2-3 minutes aside on medium high heat (it depends on the width of the cubes or in my case not so cubes).

5. When the meat is done, remove from the heat and let it rest for 4 minutes.

My “Twist” for this recipe is more of a suggestion: if you have people coming over in midweek and then again on Sunday, marinade lots of meat on the weekend before, and enjoy stress less gatherings the following week.
