Easy chicken parmesan recipes that actually consist of one recipe, but can easily become three recipes, depends on the sauce you’re using and your mood for that day.
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
4 boneless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
seasoned bread crumbs
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
8 slices mozzarella cheese or more if you like
1 jar (16 oz) spaghetti sauce tomato base Or 1 jar (16 oz) spaghetti sauce pepper base Or 1 jar (16 oz) spaghetti sauce 4 cheeses
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1. Whisk together egg and milk. Dip the chicken breasts in milk and egg mixture and then in the bread crumbs.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown the chicken breasts in hot oil on both sides until golden. It will take about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
3. Set chicken breasts in a casserole dish.
4. Slice 8 pieces of mozzarella cheese and put two on each chicken breast.
5. Pour 1 jar of your preferable spaghetti sauce for this evening over the whole dish.
6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and a little more mozzarella. Bake at 350F (180C) for about 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
7. Serve with any type of pasta you like, garlic bread and/or a nice green salad.
My flavorful “Twist” for this recipe: add ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg. It gives very interesting touch.
My time saving “Twist “ for this recipe: make double the amount of chicken breasts, brown them and store ½ for tomorrow’s dinner. Then take different spaghetti sauce and “Walla” you have a different dinner for the next day.
