Easy chocolate fondue recipe is always a success and you can always adjust it to everyone’s liking.
12oz (350g) good quality dark chocolate or chocolate buttons
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1lb (454g) fruits that you like (bananas, strawberries, apples etc.)
7oz (200g) arrowroot cookies
Prepare different fruits cut to approximately 1in (2.5cm) cubes. Heat whipping cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it almost reaches boiling point. Then close the heat, add chocolate, salt and pop the lid on. Wait 2 minutes, then mix well until all chocolate dissolves. Now transfer to a fondue pot heated at low heat or with a low flame if you have one; if not serve straight from the pot. Serve immediately, if the chocolate starts to be stiff add tablespoon of cream to dilute it.
To add Mexican “Twist”: add ½ teaspoon cinnamon and a pinch of chili pepper.
To add an adult “Twist”: add 3 tablespoons of your beloved liqueur like Baileys Irish cream, Amaretto, coffee liqueur or orange liqueur.
To add a “Twist” of creativity: you can add any flavor agents like zests of citrus fruits, 3½ oz (100g) of your beloved crushed nuts, few drops of almond extract or rose water. Basically you've got the idea, just be creative with the recipe.
