Chocolate is unbeatable king of all desserts. My easy chocolate recipes are always the epic part of all feasts. Chocolate that comes to us from Mexico and South America was the heart of few ancient cultures, even cacao beans were used as money.

Chocolate is actually produced from the seed of tropical Theobroma cacao tree.

Chocolate was consumed as a bitter drink, sometimes converted to alcoholic, until 19th century. Only then it was made into chocolate bar, as we know it today by Joseph Fry and his son. Traditionally it was flavored with vanilla, chili peppers and annatto - bitter sweet and nutmeg flavor.

Now days chocolate types are differ from place to place and there are different regulations for it. But general rule is the ratios of cacao butter to cacao solids. Types vary from white chocolate that contains only pure cacao butter, unsweetened chocolate that contains primarily cacao solids, chocolate with different fruity flavors inside, chocolate with peanut butter inside, etc.

Chocolate has many positive health benefits, especially dark chocolate which is a potent antioxidant. Some of the benefits include preventing heart attacks, lowering cholesterol, lowering blood pressure and boosting cognitive abilities.

You should store chocolate in dark place with humidity proof wrap in relatively cool and stable temperature. So lets have lots of fun with making my easy chocolate recipes.

Cheers,
Victoria Paikin
