Easy Cube Steak Recipe

Easy Cube Steak Recipe

This marinated, tender and delicious easy cube steak recipe takes just minutes to marinade and then minutes to cook. You can grill this steak as well as pan fry. Either way it can enrich your easy fast dinner recipes ideas.

There are a few reasons for cook cube steak. Main reason for using cube steak is that it’s easy and fast to prepare. Another reason, as a result of cubing process you get much desired tenderness and flavor.

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup wine (red or white)

1/4 cup your beloved vinegar

1/4 cup buttermilk

2 bruised garlic cloves

1 whole stick of rosemary

salt, pepper to taste

2 pounds (1kg) of cube steak – about 4 tenderized large beef cutlets

1. Take a large freezer bag, put inside all ingredients accept of the steaks and give it a quick shake.

2. Add the steaks, close the bag and rub with your hands until all steaks covered with marinade.

3. If you have time leave the steaks in a freezer bag over the night in refrigerator. If you don’t have time, you can leave the meat out until it reaches room temperature and then grill (it can take just 20 minutes if you put the meat in one layer).

4. Take the meat out of its marinade, and get rid of access of moisture. Grill or pan fry the steaks for about 2 minutes on each side on high heat.

My unwasteful “Twist” that makes perfect gravy for all steak recipes: in order not to be wasteful take 2 teaspoons of cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water. Take out rosemary from the marinade. To the same skillet if you are frying the steaks and if you’re grilling them use small sauce pan, add the rest of the marinade on medium heat. Then slowly add water and cornstarch as the mixture heating. Mix all the time until you get the desirable thickness. Pour over the steaks, and serve.
