Easy Picnic Dessert Recipes

In my opinion, proper meal always has to end with something sweet. So my easy picnic dessert recipes are exactly what you need in order to have proper picnic meal, or even proper camping meal.

Roasted banana

If you’re just like me, and you bring a little portable gas BBQ to your picnic or camping, then this dessert is perfect for you. The amounts are for 1 helping and if you need more just multiply the amounts.

1 banana

1oz (30g) chocolate any kind you like, you can even use chocolate chips

1. Put the banana on hot BBQ with a peel and grill it until the peel becomes brownish.

2. Then turn it to the other side and proceed with grilling until the other side becomes brownish and the banana is warmed thru.

3. Remove banana from the heat and put on a plate.

4. While still steamy hot, peel one side and make cut lengthwise to banana flesh and put the chocolate in the middle and let it melt. Or just make lengthwise cut thru the banana peel and flesh and put the chocolate in the middle, let the chocolate melt before eating.

To add extra crunchy “Twist” you can add 1 tablespoon crushed nuts of any kind.

You can add truly summery “Twist”: add a few small marshmallows when you’re cooking the banana on the second side. Just cut thru the peel when banana is still on the heat, add the chocolate and on top add the marshmallows. Proceed with cooking for a minute or so, or until marshmallows are melted. Be careful marshmallows are highly flammable so hold the water near by.

Easy fruit salad

This is absolutely perfect summer dessert that doesn’t need cooler. It's easy to make and really healthy and tasty to eat. You can make it before the picnic at home and by the time you will eat it all the flavors will be infused together. To see the recipe click here.

Easy banana bread

This is really easy banana bread that will impress your family and friends. This dessert saved many of my picnics. To see the recipe click here.
