Easy Pork Chops With Apples

pork chops with apples

Those pork chops with apples are easy to prepare, have unforgettable taste and will always leave highly positive impression on your guests.

½ cup all-purpose flour

salt, pepper to taste

2-4 bone in pork chops (you can make as many as you want, depends on the amount of people you have to feed).

2-4 tablespoons vegetable oil

¼ cup of your beloved vinegar (I prefer the white one)

2-4 teaspoons of mustard

¼ cup cream

¼ cup apple juice

1. In a shallow dish combine flour, salt and pepper.

2. Press pork chops into the flour mixture and shake off any excess.

3. Fry in hot vegetable oil in a suitable size skillet, over medium-high heat until browned. Depends on the size of skillet you have, you may need to do this in 2 or 3 batches.

4. Take out and drain on paper towels.

5. Meanwhile, take the same skillet, put it on low heat and add vinegar, mustard, cream and apple juice. Simmer for 1 minute.

6. Take the pork chops and put them back into the skillet with sauce (you can layer them if you have too much) and cover with lid. Simmer chops with sauce for another 5-10 minutes. Or until an

7. instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 F (70C).

8. Serve chops with mashed potatoes and 1 spoon of sauce on top of the dish.

To add unforgettable “Twist” to this recipe: take 1 green apple. Dice it and add to the skillet 1 minute before the vinegar, cream and mustard – and follow the recipe.

Victoria Paikin
