Easy Seafood Pasta Recipe

seafood pasta recipe

This easy seafood pasta recipe can be made by anyone. A few pantry ingredients, 10 minutes of fuss and you have a proper and tasty meal on the table.

1 (1 pound/454g) package of your beloved spaghetti

1 medium onion, chopped in a chopper

1 yellow, orange or red bell pepper cored, deseed and cubed to ½ inch (1cm) cubes

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 jar (16 oz) your favorite pasta sauce

1 pound (454g) salad cooked shrimp (if you buying frozen, defrost)

½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

salt, pepper to taste

1. Cook spaghetti in a gallon (4L) of boiling water, seasoned with 2 tablespoons of salt (that's right, 2 tablespoons!) until just tender. Drain but do not rinse the pasta.

2. Don't worry if the pasta sticks together. The extra virgin olive oil will break it up.

3. Meanwhile, when spaghetti is cooking, sauté onion and pepper in extra virgin olive oil on a medium heat, in a skillet for 3 minutes.

4. Add your favorite pasta sauce to the skillet. Add ¼ cup of water from spaghetti to the skillet.

5. Mix and add cooked shrimp.

6. The sauce is done when shrimp warmed thru.

7. Mix the sauce with spaghetti.

8. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and serve!

My favorite and flavorful “Twist” for this recipe is extremely easy: substitute the shrimp for the same amount of your favorite, boneless fully cooked cubed ham. It will be very easy, awesome and unforgettable dinner.

Cheers,
Victoria Paikin
